About
Hi, I'm Susan Gibb, Speech Language Therapist, founder and clinician at VoicED
Originally from Nelson, I am now settled in Northwest Auckland with my husband Sam, raising our two young daughters Zoe and Poppy.
My background in children's Speech Therapy spans over 16 years of practice. I have had a varied and rewarding career in Auckland with the Ministry of Education in both general and specialist roles, as well as working in London in a range of settings including primary schools, special schools and health centre clinics. Most recently I gained further experience in the private sector as I sought a more balanced work and home life with my young family.
A highlight across all these settings as a Speech Language Therapist has been being able to work collaboratively alongside professionals and families. The evidence around empowering parents as the most important adults in children's lives to help children succeed is compelling.
I'm passionate about ensuring a holistic service when it comes to supporting communication skills in young children.
I seek to meet with your child in their most comfortable environment with their most important communication partners (parents, siblings, grandparents, teachers, extended whānau).
I love supporting young people to become capable communicators and I can't wait to get to know you and your family and begin our journey together.
